Tyne Kittiwakes
at South Shields by Stuart Thompson

Every year thousands of Kittiwakes return from their winter far out at sea, to share the River Tyne with us during the spring and summer months. To help raise awareness and celebrate their return, a series of events are organised.

A variety of events were organised for the  2024 season, which included a wide range from » Wild Intrigue.

There were also some oppportunities which enabled visitors and residents to explore and experience the wide range of wildlife along the Tyne.

Wild Intrigue are passionate about sharing the magic of Northern England: the wildlife, people and places. For ten years they have been celebrating these remarkable features of The North with thousands of people, through their wildlife experiences, photography hides, projects and media.  They’re a Community Interest Company (not-for-profit).
